NOTEBOOKLM COMO ASISTENTE INTELIGENTE PARA DOCENTES Y ESTUDIANTES
Este trabajo analiza el potencial educativo de NotebookLM, una herramienta de Inteligencia Artificial desarrollada por Google Labs que utiliza el modelo Gemini para asistir a docentes y estudiantes en la gestión, comprensión y organización de información académica. El estudio describe sus funcionalidades clave—como análisis de fuentes, generación de contenido, creación de resúmenes de audio y organización conceptual—y examina sus aplicaciones prácticas en la preparación docente, el estudio autónomo y la elaboración de materiales didácticos. Asimismo, se discuten sus principales limitaciones técnicas, junto con los desafíos cognitivos, pedagógicos y éticos asociados a su uso en entornos educativos. Finalmente, se reflexiona sobre el potencial transformador de NotebookLM en los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje del siglo XXI, destacando su capacidad para fomentar la autonomía, la eficiencia y el pensamiento crítico mediante la integración responsable de tecnologías de IA en la educación.

Abstract:
This study analyzes the educational potential of NotebookLM, an Artificial Intelligence tool developed by Google Labs that employs the Gemini model to assist teachers and students in managing, understanding, and organizing academic information. The paper describes NotebookLM’s key features—such as source analysis, content generation, audio summarization, and conceptual organization—and examines its practical applications in lesson preparation, autonomous learning, and the creation of instructional materials. It also addresses the tool’s main technical limitations, along with the cognitive, pedagogical, and ethical challenges associated with its use in educational contexts. Finally, the study reflects on the transformative potential of NotebookLM in 21st-century teaching and learning processes, highlighting its capacity to enhance autonomy, efficiency, and critical thinking through the responsible integration of AI technologies in education.
