NIVEL DE COMPRENSIÓN LECTORA EN PRIMERO MEDIO: ANÁLISIS DE HABILIDADES Y DESAFÍOS A TRAVÉS DEL INSTRUMENTO TABULATEST
Este estudio aborda la importancia de evaluar la comprensión lectora en estudiantes de primero medio. Esta habilidad es esencial para el aprendizaje y el desarrollo cognitivo. La comprensión lectora, en sus niveles literal e inferencial, permite interpretar información, construir significados y mejorar el desempeño académico. La investigación se desarrolló mediante un enfoque cuantitativo y un diseño descriptivo, aplicando la prueba TABULATEST a 44 estudiantes. Este instrumento permitió identificar fortalezas y dificultades en ambos niveles de comprensión. Los resultados aportan información relevante para orientar y promover nuevas investigaciones en educación media.

Abstract:
This study addresses the importance of assessing reading comprehension in first-year high school students. This skill is essential for learning and cognitive development. Reading comprehension, at both the literal and inferential levels, allows students to interpret information, construct meaning, and improve academic performance. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach and a descriptive design, applying the TABULATEST test to 44 students. This instrument allowed for the identification of strengths and difficulties at both levels of comprehension. The results provide relevant information to guide and promote new research in secondary education.
