NARRATIVAS SOBRE LA SUSTENTABILIDAD
En este trabajo exploratorio descriptivo participaron estudiantes universitarios, con el objetivo de identificar lo que significa la sustentabilidad y cómo han contribuido con ella desde diferentes ámbitos, tanto en lo individual como en colectivo. Los estudiantes coinciden en que la sustentabilidad implica satisfacer las necesidades actuales de la población, de manera que los recursos de la naturaleza alcancen para las futuras generaciones, a través del uso racional de los mismos; de manera que haya equilibrio entre lo que se toma de la naturaleza y su regeneración. La información se obtuvo a través de un cuestionario subido a Google, integrado por preguntas abiertas, y dirigido a estudiantes de la carrera de pedagogía. Entre los resultados destacan: reforzar el cuidado del entorno con compromiso y responsabilidad ecológica. En cuanto a su religión, comentan que cuidan la naturaleza como creación de dios, agradecen que el planeta provee de recursos. Sin embargo la mayoría de los participantes dicen no pertenecer a ninguna religión. Acerca del vecindario, algunos pertenecen a grupos de sustentabilidad que promueven el cuidado de los jardines públicos y evitan la contaminación con basura en algún sector de la ciudad. Por otro lado, desde la escuela no basta con transmitir conocimientos teóricos; es necesario formar ciudadanos comprometidos con su entorno, capaces de actuar con conciencia y responsabilidad ecológica.

Abstract:
This exploratory descriptive study involved university students with the objective of identifying the meaning of sustainability and how they have contributed to it from different perspectives, both individually and collectively. The students agreed that sustainability involves satisfying the current needs of the population in a way that ensures natural resources are sufficient for future generations through their rational use, thus maintaining a balance between what is taken from nature and its regeneration. The information was obtained through a questionnaire uploaded to Google, consisting of open-ended questions, and directed at students in the pedagogy program. Among the results, the following stand out: reinforcing environmental care with commitment and ecological responsibility. Regarding their religion, they commented that they care for nature as God's creation and are grateful that the planet provides resources. However, most participants stated that they do not belong to any religion. Concerning their neighborhood, some belong to sustainability groups that promote the care of public gardens and prevent littering in certain areas of the city. Furthermore, they felt that simply transmitting theoretical knowledge from school is insufficient; It is necessary to train citizens committed to their environment, capable of acting with awareness and ecological responsibility
