LAS TECNOLOGÍAS DE LA INFORMACIÓN Y LA COMUNICACIÓN EN EL PROCESO DE ENSEÑANZA Y APRENDIZAJE
La presente investigación aborda la problemática del limitado acceso a internet y el insuficiente manejo de herramientas tecnológicas durante la emergencia sanitaria por la COVID-19, situación que afectó el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje en la Unidad Educativa Alida Zambrano García. El objetivo fue analizar la incidencia de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC) en el desarrollo educativo de docentes y estudiantes de 5°, 6° y 7° AEB durante la educación virtual. La investigación se desarrolló bajo un enfoque mixto, de tipo descriptivo y con alcance explicativo, permitiendo interpretar la realidad educativa desde una perspectiva cuantitativa y cualitativa. Entre los métodos empleados se utilizaron el analítico-sintético, inductivo-deductivo y bibliográfico. Asimismo, las técnicas aplicadas fueron la encuesta dirigida a estudiantes y docentes, y la entrevista a docentes de la institución. Los resultados evidenciaron que herramientas como WhatsApp, Zoom, Microsoft Teams e internet fueron fundamentales para mantener la continuidad educativa, destacándose el celular como principal medio de acceso a las clases virtuales. Sin embargo, se identificó que la principal dificultad fue la falta de conectividad y acceso a dispositivos tecnológicos, problemática señalada por la mayoría de los estudiantes. Además, los docentes implementaron estrategias pedagógicas activas como lluvia de ideas, mapas mentales, talleres y resúmenes para fortalecer el aprendizaje virtual. Se concluye que las TIC constituyeron un recurso indispensable durante la pandemia; no obstante, la brecha digital y las limitaciones tecnológicas evidenciaron la necesidad de fortalecer competencias digitales, mejorar el acceso a internet y promover una educación inclusiva y de calidad.

Abstract:
This article aimed to analyze the use of technological resources in the teaching and learning process of teachers and students in the 5th, 6th and 7th grade of Basic General Education (EGB) during the COVID-19 health emergency. The research employed analytical-synthetic and inductive- deductive methods, using a mixed-methods approach (quantitative and qualitative). Field research was also conducted, facilitating the collection of relevant and pertinent information for the study. Currently, it is essential to analyze the influence of technological resources on the educational process. In this regard, the results obtained through surveys and interviews showed that the most frequently used technological and communication tools were Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp, the internet, computers, smartphones, and tablets. These tools played a fundamental role in communication between teachers and students, fostering interaction, access to information, and educational continuity during the 2020 pandemic. Similarly, the strategies implemented by teachers yielded results related to student academic performance. Furthermore, the application of various methodological instruments that documented the educational process developed during the COVID-19 health emergency was highlighted, including grade reports, record books, and academic reports.
