En el corazón de las montañas de Ibagué, un grupo de estudiantes de una escuela rural se embarca en un viaje de autodescubrimiento y crecimiento personal, guiado por la intrigante fusión de los eSports, específicamente "League of Legends", y los juegos tradicionales. Esta narrativa, que se desarrolla bajo la sombra de los árboles y en los campos de juego digitales, revela cómo estas actividades están forjando habilidades intrapersonales esenciales en los jóvenes. A través de historias personales como las de Lucas, Valeria, Andrés y Sofía, se despliegan lecciones de autoconciencia, autodisciplina, motivación y autorregulación emocional. Estos relatos no solo ilustran cómo los estudiantes están aplicando habilidades aprendidas en el juego en su vida académica y personal, sino que también subrayan la relevancia de integrar estas habilidades en la educación para un desarrollo holístico. Este escrito no es solo una exploración de cómo los eSports pueden transformar la educación en contextos rurales; es un testimonio del poder transformador de los juegos en la formación de jóvenes resilientes y emocionalmente inteligentes. In the heart of the mountains of Ibagué, a group of students from a rural school embark on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth, guided by the intriguing fusion of eSports, specifically "League of Legends", and traditional games. This narrative, unfolding under the shade of trees and in digital gaming fields, reveals how these activities are forging essential intrapersonal skills in the youth. Through personal stories like those of Lucas, Valeria, Andrés, and Sofía, lessons of self-awareness, self-discipline, motivation, and emotional self-regulation come to life. These tales illustrate not only how students are applying skills learned in gaming to their academic and personal lives but also underscore the importance of integrating these skills into education for holistic development. This article is more than an exploration of how eSports can transform education in rural settings; it is a testament to the transformative power of games in shaping resilient and emotionally intelligent young people.
