FEMINIZACIÓN DE LA ODONTOLOGÍA, DESDE LA PERSPECTIVA DE LA INTERSECCIONALIDAD Y LAS REPRESENTACIONES SOCIALES FEMENINAS
Las licenciaturas en odontología de un tiempo a la fecha han denotado un marcado incremento en el número de mujeres que se encuentran matriculadas en ellas, situación similar que se puede encontrar en distintas licenciaturas en otras instituciones de educación superior, bajo esta situación se buscó conocer los factores, situaciones o condiciones intrínsecas y extrínsecas que de una u otra manera influyen, condicionan y determinan en las mujeres la decisión de estudiar está profesión. Bajo esta intención se consideraron los conceptos de interseccionalidad y representaciones sociales para teóricamente comprender como “trabajan” en el colectivo femenino y masculino los constructos mentales que condicionan los multiversos educativos y laborales de las mujeres y de los hombres.

Abstract:
Bachelor's degrees in dentistry have recently seen a marked increase in the number of women enrolled in them, a situation similar to that found in various bachelor's degrees at other higher education institutions. Given this situation, we sought to identify the intrinsic and extrinsic factors, situations, or conditions that in one way or another influence, condition, and determine women's decision to study this profession. To this end, the concepts of intersectionality and social representations were considered in order to theoretically understand how the mental constructs that condition the educational and occupational multiverses of women and men “work” in the female and male collectives.
