FACTORES QUE GENERAN EL BAJO RENDIMIENTO ESCOLAR, REPROBACIÓN Y DESERCIÓN EN LOS ESTUDIANTES DE BÁSICA SECUNDARIA SEDE LOS FARALLONES DE LA INSTITUCIÓN EDUCATIVA ALFONSO LÓPEZ PUMAREJO
En este trabajo de investigación tuvo como finalidad indagar los principales factores que inciden en el bajo rendimiento escolar, la reprobación escolar y la deserción, las cuales han sido una preocupación y que van en ascenso en los estudiantes de la sede Los Farallones, institución educativa Alfonso López Pumarejo, localizada en la ciudad de Santiago de Cali. Por ello, esta investigación, que corresponde a un diseño cuantitativo-descriptivo correlacional, con una técnica de encuestas, tiene como objetivo las situaciones que generan no solo el bajo desempeño escolar, sino también la reprobación y deserción, en el cual se combinan las características del diseño a partir de muestras. Como instrumentos de recolección de datos, son utilizados el diagnostico, cuestionarios y la entrevista en profundidad. El diseño de la investigación consiste en un estudio y análisis de las situaciones que generan no solo el bajo desempeño escolar, sino también la reprobación y deserción, en el cual se combinan las características del diseño a partir de muestras. Los datos obtenidos corroboran la premisa inicial en el sentido de que la falta de compromiso de los alumnos y de los padres de familia SON DETERMINANTES en el bajo rendimiento académico, reprobación y deserción escolar de los estudiantes de la básica secundaria, sede los Farallones. Se presentan tanto los hallazgos que fundamentan esa afirmación como las reflexiones de la autora acerca de sus causas.

Abstract:
This research aimed to investigate the main factors contributing to low academic performance, grade repetition, and dropout rates, which have been a growing concern among students at the Los Farallones campus of the Alfonso López Pumarejo Educational Institution, located in the city of Santiago de Cali. Therefore, this research, which employs a quantitative-descriptive correlational design using surveys, focuses on the situations that generate not only low academic performance but also grade repetition and dropout rates. The design incorporates sampling techniques. Data collection instruments include diagnostic tools, questionnaires, and in-depth interviews. The research design consists of a study and analysis of the situations that generate not only low academic performance but also grade repetition and dropout rates, combining sampling techniques. The data obtained corroborate the initial premise that the lack of commitment from students and parents is a determining factor in the low academic performance, grade repetition, and school dropout rates among students at the Farallones campus of the lower secondary school. Both the findings that support this assertion and the author's reflections on its causes are presented.
