EDUCAÇÃO PARA A MORTE ENTRE PROFISSIONAIS DA SAÚDE: REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA DE LITERATURA
Os profissionais da saúde lidam frequentemente com o tema e a experiência da morte, embora não se sintam seguramente preparados para enfrentar essa realidade quando ela se encontra diante deles. A pretensão ao estudar o tema foi compreender a forma como é abordado entre os profissionais da saúde; bem como alçar contribuições para atenuar os impactos traumáticos que, muitas vezes, são causados na vida de tantas pessoas; e identificar atitudes de humanização e empatia por parte dos profissionais de saúde, visto que estes são os primeiros a terem contato com os familiares que experienciam a morte em detrimento da percepção de negação vigente entre eles. O texto ora apresentado envolveu um estudo teórico na modalidade de revisão integrativa da literatura, para a qual foram elencados livros publicados no período de 2000 a 2022 e artigos recuperados da base de dados SCIELO, em língua portuguesa e inglesa, cujo escopo abrangeu às estratégias de educação para a morte entre os profissionais de saúde. Entre o que foi apurado, destacaram-se sentimento de impotência, angústia, distanciamento e medo por parte dos profissionais ao terem que lidar com a realidade da morte, o que demonstra uma carência na formação destes profissionais de contato com esta realidade. Depreende-se desta revisão a necessidade de incluir disciplinas como Cuidados Paliativos e Tanatologia na formação técnico-científica em saúde para serem suscitadas discussões e a presença do tema no cotidiano; e que se promova o desenvolvimento de habilidades e competências para abordagem profissional do tema.

Abstract:
Health professionals often deal with the theme and experience of death, although they do not feel confidently prepared to face this reality when it is before them. The intention when studying the theme was to understand how it is approached among health professionals; as well as raising contributions to mitigate the traumatic impacts that are often caused in the lives of so many people; and to identify attitudes of humanization and empathy on the part of health professionals, since they are the first to have contact with family members who experience death to the detriment of the current perception of denial among them. The text presented here involved a theoretical study in the form of an integrative literature review, for which books published in the period from 2000 to 2022 and articles retrieved from the SCIELO database, in Portuguese and English, whose scope included the strategies of death education among health professionals. Among what was found, the professionals' feelings of impotence, anguish, detachment, and fear stood out when they had to deal with the reality of death, which demonstrates a lack of training for these professionals in contact with this reality. It appears from this review the need to include disciplines such as Palliative Care and Thanatology in the technical-scientific training in health to raise discussions and the presence of the theme in everyday life; and to promote the development of skills and competences for a professional approach to the subject.
