CONJUGALIDADE E PERTURBAÇÕES PSICOSSOCIAIS EM PERSONAGENS FEMININAS DE FRANÇOIS MAURIAC E ANNIE ERNAUX
Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar diversas perturbações psicossociais observadas em personagens femininas criadas por estes autores, como efeito de imposições de papéis de género no contexto da realidade conjugal. Apesar de estas personagens se situarem em épocas histórica e culturalmente bastante diversas, as pressões sócio-familiares que se abatem sobre elas apenas diferem no estilo aparentemente liberal que tais imposições revestem em finais do século XX, pela mão de Annie Ernaux, em contraste com o estilo conservador-repressivo que as mesmas assumiam no seio da burguesia francesa dos anos 20, pela mão de François Mauriac.

Abstract:
This article aims at analyzing several psychosocial disorders afflicting female characters in novels by Mauriac and Ernaux and argues they are a consequence of the imposition of gender roles in the context of conjugal life. Although these characters issue from historically and culturally diverse times, societal and family pressure on them only differs, as seen in Annie Ernaux’s novels, in the feigned liberal turn that this kind of coercion takes at the end of the 20th century. In neat contrast, the novels of François Mauriac present us with a conservative-repressive type of pressure congenial to 1920’s French bourgeoisie.
