CAMINANDO HACÍA UN TURISMO SOSTENIBLE EN ACAPULCO, GUERRERO; A PARTIR DE LA CERTIFICACIÓN DE PLAYAS
El turismo en Acapulco permite mantener a una gran parte de la población económicamente activa, el cual depende de su atractivo natural (playa) considerado como recurso de uso común y como tal es de difícil exclusión y baja sustractabilidad, por esta razón urge el mantenimiento, conservación y certificación para el uso y disfrute de la población local y de los visitantes. De los tres elementos de la sostenibilidad, la certificación de playas se ubica dentro del aspecto ambiental y es una condición necesaria pero no suficiente, la suficiencia se lograría si se integran los otros elementos de la sostenibilidad, por lo tanto, la certificación de las playas en Acapulco es una de las exigencias dentro de otras requisiciones para lograr un turismo sostenible.

Abstract:
Tourism in Acapulco allows a large part of the population to remain economically active, which depends on its natural attraction (beach) considered as a common-use resource and as such is difficult to exclude and has low subtractability. For this reason, it is urgent to maintain, conserve, and certify for the use and enjoyment of the local population and visitors. Of the three elements of sustainability, beach certification falls within the environmental aspect and is a necessary but not sufficient condition. Sufficiency would be achieved if the other elements of sustainability are integrated. Therefore, beach certification in Acapulco is one of the requirements among other requisites to achieve sustainable tourism
