APRENDIZAJE-SERVICIO EN LA FORMACIÓN PROFESIONAL, COMO UNA ESTRATEGIA INNOVADORA PARA EL DESARROLLO DE COMPETENCIAS CIUDADANAS, INCLUSIÓN Y SOSTENIBILIDAD
El aprendizaje y servicio es una metodología educativa que armoniza el servicio comunitario con la reflexión crítica centrada en la justicia social, siendo transformadora cuando incluye reflexión, participación e intencionalidad. Promueve el desarrollo integral del estudiante, fortalece competencias profesionales y el compromiso cívico, optimiza la enseñanza, y vincula la universidad con la comunidad, alineándose con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible. En este escenario, interesa conocer, a partir del análisis de contenido comparativo de estudios previos, cómo esta estrategia aporta en la formación profesional en el desarrollo de la inclusión, sostenibilidad y competencias ciudadanas. Se analizaron ocho artículos de base de datos Scopus de los últimos cinco años. Se concluye que es necesario fomentar el aprendizaje significativo y el compromiso cívico de los futuros profesionales para abordar desafíos reales en la comunidad a través de la planificación, implementación y reflexión sobre proyectos de servicio que generen un impacto positivo tanto en los estudiantes como en la comunidad.

Abstract:
Service learning is an educational methodology that harmonizes community service with critical reflection focused on social justice, being transformative when it includes reflection, participation, and intentionality. It promotes the comprehensive development of students, strengthens professional skills and civic engagement, optimizes teaching, and links the university Capítulo 9 109 Aprendizaje y Servicio en la Formación Universitaria: Experiencias, Investigación e Innovación Pedagógica en Chile with the community, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals. In this context, it is interesting to know, based on a comparative content analysis of previous studies, how this strategy contributes to professional training in the development of inclusion, sustainability, and civic skills. Eight articles from the Scopus database from the last five years were analyzed. It was concluded that it is necessary to promote meaningful learning and civic engagement among future professionals in order to address real challenges in the community through the planning, implementation, and reflection on service projects that generate a positive impact on both students and the community.
