Abstract:
This second (and last) theoretical contribution builds on the working hypothesis of the “first contribution” (Capocasale Bruno, 2024), which focused on some of the potential political and pedagogical assumptions underlying a possible Uruguayan model with a distinct identity. On this occasion, we present some findings and analyses of the philosophical and socio-pedagogical assumptions that form the matrix of the national and public education system and remain present in the 21st century. Once again, we have chosen to use the analogical hermeneutics of the Mexican philosopher Maurice Beuchot. This approach enables a multidimensional perspective with epistemological, methodological, and theoretical dimensions. Specifically, the study examines relevant philosophical and socio-pedagogical contributions. It should be noted that this theoretical research is preliminary in nature, based on the selected bibliography treated as a documentary source, with the ultimate aim of contributing to the development of a Uruguayan educational model with a distinct identity that remains relevant in the 21st century.
