RELACIONES TÓXICAS, DOMINACIÓN Y VIOLENCIA. HISTORIAS DE VIDA EN TORNO A LAS CREENCIAS DEL AMOR ROMÁNTICO
El amor romántico es un constructo cultural y las creencias sobre el mismo se legitiman y normalizan en estructuras sociales desiguales. En ese contexto, el objetivo de este trabajo es conocer y describir los significados que atribuyen diez profesoras en formación a dicho constructo, tras la aceptación de la importancia que tiene indagar en las creencias de quienes tendrán, en un futuro cercano, la responsabilidad de educar a partir de sus acciones y discursos. Metodológicamente, se trabaja con un enfoque cualitativo el relato de historias de vida de diez estudiantes mujeres de entre 19 y 23 años, que durante el 2021 cursaban diversas carreras de pedagogía en una universidad pública de la Región Metropolitana de Santiago de Chile. Los datos, examinados con análisis temáticos, sugieren que las creencias sobre el amor romántico decantan en tres tópicos centrales: relación tóxica, dominación masculina y violencia de género. Entre las conclusiones se destaca la vigencia de algunas creencias patriarcales y la significación preeminente del amor romántico como una disposición de control, dominación, posesión y cosificación.

Abstract:
Romantic love is a cultural construct and beliefs about it are legitimized and normalized in unequal social structures. In this context, the objective of this work is to know and describe the meanings that ten teachers in training attribute to this construct, after accepting the importance of investigating the beliefs of those who will have, in the near future, the responsibility of educating. from their actions and speeches. Methodologically, we work with a qualitative approach on the life stories of ten female students between 19 and 23 years old, who during 2021 were studying various pedagogy courses at a public university in the Metropolitan Region of Santiago de Chile. The data, examined with thematic analysis, suggest that beliefs about romantic love fall into three central topics: toxic relationship, male domination and gender violence. Among the conclusions, the validity of some patriarchal beliefs and the preeminent significance of romantic love as a disposition of control, domination, possession and objectification stand out.
