Quando as chuvas caem sobre o Bairro do Chamanculo a população fica preocupada porque uma parte da mesma fica retida nos quintais. Este fato mostra que a inundação urbana constitui uma das grandes preocupações, daí que foi realizada esta pesquisa cujo título é Processo das Inundações Urbanas no Bairro do Chamanculo “C”, Maputo. Constitui objetivo geral compreender o processo de inundação, sendo objetivos específicos identificar os fatores de inundação, descrever o processo de inundação e a origem da mesma. Iniciou-se com uma fase de revisão documental e depois seguiu-se o trabalho de campo recorrendo-se a entrevistas e observação direta e coleta de dados para análise com recurso ao geoprocessamento e ao EPI-INFO, 3.4.5. Concluiu-se que os fatores de inundação no Bairro, são diversos desde o relevo, com solos impermeáveis, o assoreamento dos canais de drenagem devido a deposição de resíduos, ao modelo de parcelamento e de uso do solo

  • Abstract:

    When the rains fall on the neighborhood of Chamanculo the population is worried because a part of it is retained in the backyards. This fact shows that urban flooding is one of the main concerns, and this research was carried out, the title of which is the Urban Flood Process in the Chamanculo Neighborhood "C", Maputo. It is a general objective to understand the flooding process, with specific objectives being to identify the flooding factors, describe the flood process and the origin of the flood. It began with a document review phase and then followed the fieldwork using interviews and direct observation and data collection for analysis using geoprocessing and EPI-INFO, 3.4.5. It was concluded that the flooding factors in the neighborhood are diverse from relief, with impermeable soils, sedimentation of drainage channels due to the deposition of residues, to the model of land use and parceling.
