PERCEPÇÃO DOS ALUNOS DE ODONTOLOGIA DA UNIVERSIDADE DE GURUPI SOBRE O PAPEL DO PROFESSOR NO PROCESSO DE ENSINO-APRENDIZAGEM
Em uma sociedade que está sempre em transformação, o que se espera de um professor profissional da área que está atuando é o seu conhecimento e sua experiência tanto prática quanto teórica, para que o aluno se torne crítico e criativo, tornando aptos, a questionar, debater, levando o mesmo a refletir e buscar suas respostas. Diante do exposto foi realizada uma pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa com o objetivo de investigar a percepção dos alunos de odontologia da Universidade de Gurupi sobre o papel do professor no processo de ensino aprendizagem. Os dados foram coletados por meio de grupo focal e sua análise será através da análise de conteúdo de Bardin. Constatou-se que a maioria dos estudantes possuíam uma concepção do “ser professor” é extremamente positiva, sendo aquela pessoa que nasce com o dom de transmitir o conhecimento, aquele capaz de ser amigo e companheiro de seus alunos. No entanto, os métodos de ensino ainda são bastante tradicionais, existindo de forma esporádica um ou outro professor buscando formas de inovar o processo de ensino.

Abstract:
In a society that is always changing, what is expected of a professional teacher in the field who is working is their knowledge and experience, both practical and theoretical, so that the student becomes critical and creative, making them able to question, debate, leading them to reflect and seek their answers. Given the above, a qualitative approach research was carried out with the aim of investigating the perception of dentistry students at the University of Gurupi about the teacher's role in the teaching-learning process. Data were collected through a focus group and its analysis will be through Bardin's content analysis. It was found that most students had a conception of “being a teacher” is extremely positive, being that person who is born with the gift of transmitting knowledge, that person capable of being a friend and companion of their students. However, teaching methods are still quite traditional, with one or another teacher sporadically looking for ways to innovate the teaching process.
