OUTRO TRAJETO DA NARRATIVA OPERÍSTICA
Ópera e narrativa, dois gêneros da atividade humana cumprindo juntas o papel da arte de contar histórias, narrar o ser no mundo, o ser da própria arte e do próprio fazer artístico. Pretende-se problematizar o ser da narrativa textual a partir do conto A cartomante, de Machado de Assis, em relação ao ser da ópera enquanto narrativa musical com a música do maestro e compositor Jorge Antunes em sua obra homônima para a qual o conto de Machado inspirou o libreto. Visto que filosoficamente a música é considerada algo que antecede a razão e linguisticamente algo que antecede a linguagem, pois é a coisa em si, mostrar-se-á o lugar da narrativa textual na narrativa musical e seus respectivos encaixes na associação literatura-libreto-música. Cabe questionar: A cartomante é veículo para a obra musical de mesmo nome existir musicalmente ou a mídia, nesse caso, a ópera, o suporte, modifica a narrativa e a transforma tornando-a um outro ser?

Abstract:
Opera and narrative, two genres of human activity playing the role of storytelling. The world, the art, the artistical craft as ontological entities. This article intends to question the textual narrative of the short story by Machado de Assis A Cartomante in opposition to as well as towards the music by conductor and composer Jorge Antunes in his homonymous piece inspired by the mentioned Machado’s short story. Since the entity Music is philosophically considered something which exists independently of the reason and, linguistically, independently of the language, as it is the entity itself, the place of the textual narrative will be shown inside the musical narrative in addition to its respective associations amongst literature-libretto-music. Thus, the following question is essential: Is A Cartomante a vehicle to the existence of the musical piece or the support, in this case, the opera, modifies the narrative changing it and making it another entity?
