O.R.G.I.A, UN CUERPO ARTÍSTICO DE TRES CABEZAS: LAS TENDENCIAS FEMINISTAS Y QUEER COMO FORMACIÓN EN NUEVAS EXPRESIONES ARTÍSTICAS
La creación artística de O.R.G.I.A, un grupo artístico formado por Beatriz Higón, Carmen Muriana y Tatiana Sentamans, comienza su andadura en el año 2001. Se autodenominan feministas y queer, y sus trabajos giran en torno a cuestiones de género, sexo y sexualidad. En su producción artística ha empleado la performance, el vídeo, la escultura, el dibujo y la ilustración, definiéndose como un equipo multidisciplinar a la hora de desarrollar todo un repertorio transgresor de mitologías, imágenes y símbolos. Con un marcado carácter político, un claro objetivo reivindicador y un fuerte espíritu de lucha y crítica, persiguen la disolución de los conceptos normativos y estereotipados en cuanto a género, sexualidad y sexo se refiere, huyendo de las etiquetas y categorías estancas.

Abstract:
The artistic creation of O.R.G.I.A, an artistic group formed by Beatriz Higón, Carmen Muriana and Tatiana Sentamans, began its journey in 2001. They call themselves feminists and queer, and their works revolve around issues of gender, sex and sexuality. In their artistic production, they have used performance, video, sculpture, drawing and illustration, defining themselves as a multidisciplinary team when it comes to developing a transgressive repertoire of mythologies, images and symbols. With a marked political character, a clear claiming objective and a strong spirit of struggle and criticism, they pursue the dissolution of normative and stereotyped concepts regarding gender, sexuality and sex, fleeing from sealed labels and categories.
