LOS GASES DE EFECTO INVERNADERO Y SU RELACIÓN CON EL CAMBIO CLIMATICO
En la actualidad la humanidad está resintiendo las consecuencias de su propia civilización y desarrollo, el generar comodidades y crecimiento ha provocado una acumulación en la atmosfera de gases tóxicos y perjudiciales conocidos como gases de efecto invernadero o GEI. Estos gases de forma directa o indirecta han estado paulatinamente alterando el equilibrio, la estabilidad y la continuidad del clima generando lo que actualmente se conoce como cambio climático, el cual se manifiesta en un sobrecalentamiento y/o enfriamiento en diferentes y amplias zonas terrestres y aunque estas alteraciones climáticas no suceden de forma generalizada sus efectos y consecuencias se resienten de una forma u otra en todo el planeta. Lo más grave de esta situación es que las personas, los animales, los insectos y las plantas terrestres y marítimas están siendo afectadas y alteradas tanto en su forma de vida y en su salud como en lo que respecta a su hábitat en general. Como alternativa se ha concentrado la atención en la ciencia y la tecnología como la panacea para solucionar o por lo menos paliar en gran medida este problema que a puesto en riesgo de desaparecer flora, fauna y todo lo que conocemos actualmente, el gran problema hasta el momento para poder aplicar masivamente cualquiera de las tecnologías diseñadas y puestas en marcha, es el gran costo que ello representa, pues aún siguen ponderando política y económicamente si vale la pena apoyarlas e invertir en ellas. El tiempo continuo su marcha y no regresa además de que no perdona y con ello sigue reduciéndose la posibilidad de revertir o por lo menos controlar el cambio climático tan crítico y amenazante que tiene encima el planeta tierra y todos sus habitantes.

Abstract:
Humanity is currently suffering the consequences of its own civilization and development. The generation of comfort and growth has caused an accumulation in the atmosphere of toxic and harmful gases known as greenhouse gases or GHG. These gases, directly or indirectly, have been gradually altering the balance, stability and continuity of the climate, generating what is currently known as climate change, which manifests itself in overheating and/or cooling in different and large land areas, and although these climatic alterations do not occur in a generalized manner, their effects and consequences are felt in one way or another all over the planet. The most serious aspect of this situation is that people, animals, insects and terrestrial and marine plants are being affected and altered in their way of life and health as well as in their habitat in general. As an alternative, attention has been focused on science and technology as the panacea to solve or at least alleviate to a large extent this problem that has put at risk of disappearing flora, fauna and everything we know today, the big problem so far to be able to massively apply any of the technologies designed and implemented, is the great cost that this represents, as they are still pondering politically and economically if it is worth supporting and investing in them. Time continues its march and does not return, and it does not forgive and thus continues to reduce the possibility of reversing or at least controlling the critical and threatening climate change that the planet earth and all its inhabitants are facing.
