LA GEOGRAFÍA CULTURAL DE LA CIUDAD DE TOLUCA, UN ACERCAMIENTO A LA CULTURA INMATERIAL DESDE UNA VISIÓN SIMBÓLICA
En la nueva Geografía Cultural se analiza la condición en que se produce el espacio socialmente construido, para analizar la forma en que está organizado, desde la visión simbólica de las actividades humanas, con la intención de abordar la cultura como parte de este estudio. Se trata de una visión que nos permite configurar nuestras relaciones y prácticas sociales, formas de expresión y representación del espacio habitado. Se plantea como objetivo central describir la forma de organización cultural que caracteriza a la sociedad de la ciudad de Toluca, estableciendo la relación de la comunidad y el paisaje natural, reconociendo los elementos inmateriales creados, que constituyen el ámbito de convivencia en función de sus tradiciones, costumbres y creencias y crean sentimientos de pertenencia e identidad. Lo anterior refleja un espacio construido culturalmente, que se materializa en un tipo de paisaje cultural, a la vez la concreción de las relaciones histórico-geográficas, posesión de la cualidad personal y se define como rasgo existencial y reflexiva del ámbito que habita. El esquema descriptivo nos ayudará a catalogar con amplitud los orígenes de la organización del paisaje cultural actual y de esta manera promover la reflexión, acerca del uso que la comunidad ha realizado del espacio habitado, creando conciencia de los componentes y procesos que tienen lugar para fortalecer la identidad.

Abstract:
In the new Cultural Geography, the condition in which socially constructed space is produced is analyzed, to analyze the way in which it is organized, from the symbolic vision of human activities, with the intention of addressing culture as part of this study. It is a vision that allows us to configure our relationships and social practices, forms of expression and representation of inhabited space. The main objective is to describe the form of cultural organization that characterizes the society of the city of Toluca, establishing the relationship of the community and the natural landscape, recognizing the intangible elements created, which constitute the environment of coexistence according to their traditions, customs and beliefs and create feelings of belonging and identity. The above reflects a culturally constructed space, which materializes in a type of cultural landscape, at the same time the concretion of historical-geographical relationships, possession of personal quality and is defined as an existential and reflective feature of the area it inhabits. The descriptive scheme will help us to broadly catalog the origins of the organization of the current cultural landscape and thus promote reflection on the use that the community has made of the inhabited space, creating awareness of the components and processes that take place to strengthen identity.
