Abstract: The 21st century has brought with it an unprecedented technological and social revolution, but it has also generated an ecosystem of immediacy, hyperconnectivity, and extreme competitiveness that the human brain has yet to fully process. Furthermore, there is a lack of interest in social issues and a notable disparity between developed countries and those of the "third world," which are more exposed to a range of psycho-emotional disorders than developed nations, as they are unprepared to face this phenomenon. Objective: To determine the main psychotherapeutic interventions for the psycho-emotional disorders brought about by the 21st century, from a proactive approach. Method: The methodological research perspective was qualitative, as a systematic documentary review was conducted, employing the PRISMA method. The research was based on the following databases: Google Scholar, SciELO, EBSCO, ResearchGate, Education Resources Information Center (ERIC), Scopus, PsycINFO, Dialnet, ProQuest, and Psycnet. Additionally, national and international postgraduate databases were consulted, supplemented by contributions from specialized books on the subject. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were established, and subsequently, the most relevant research was selected and filtered for analysis. Results: Currently, there are a number of emerging psychological disorders, including substance and technology addictions with their associated consequences, social anxiety, existential emptiness, depression, and profound problems within the education sector at all levels. Conclusion: Currently, there are various psychological and emotional intervention mechanisms for what are known as 21st-century psychological disorders. However, the literature indicates that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the Psychosocial Approach, and Brief Assisted Therapy are the most renowned mechanisms for addressing the majority of these problems. An important point of agreement among researchers lies in the accuracy of psychodiagnostics and the importance of multi- and transdisciplinary work, which includes the environment and the family.
