INTEGRAÇÃO CURRICULAR NO 1.º CEB: DA PRÁTICA À FORMAÇÃO
O presente estudo resulta da realização de um projeto de investigação-ação centrado numa abordagem integradora do saber no 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, o que contribui para o desenvolvimento de competências durante o processo de ensino e aprendizagem dos alunos. Tem como um dos principais objetivos evidenciar as competências que um professor pode mobilizar na gestão do currículo, tendo subjacente a finalidade de trabalhar as diferentes áreas do Português, Matemática e Estudo do Meio de forma integrada. Para a realização deste estudo foi fundamental destacar os conceitos de interdisciplinaridade, integração curricular e integração dos saberes, atividades investigativas, competências e investigação-ação. Pelo processo desenvolvido e aprendizagens realizadas, o estudo aponta para (i) as potencialidades de uma prática integrada e integradora do currículo do 1.º CEB; (ii) a relevância das práticas de integração curricular, particularmente pelas competências que se desenvolvem nos alunos, ao nível dos conhecimentos, capacidades e atitudes transversais ao currículo do 1.º ciclo; (iii) a importância da participação dos alunos, envolvendo-os ativamente na construção das suas aprendizagens, recorrendo a práticas investigativas; e, finalmente, (iv) o papel da investigação-ação como metodologia formativa para um professor que se proponha desenvolver processos de reflexão crítica, tendo em vista introduzir mudanças nas suas práticas de ensino.

Abstract:
The present study is the result of an action research project focused on an integrative approach to knowledge in the 1st Cycle of Basic Education, which contributes to the development of skills during the teaching and learning process of students. Its main objective is to highlight the skills that a teacher can mobilize in curriculum management, with the purpose of working the different areas of Portuguese, Mathematics and Environmental Studies in an integrated way. To carry out this study, it was essential to highlight the concepts of interdisciplinarity, curricular integration and integration of knowledge, investigative activities, competences, and action-research. Due to the process developed and the lessons learned, the study points to (i) the potential of an integrated and integrative practice of the 1st CEB curriculum; (ii) the relevance of curricular integration practices, particularly for the competences that are developed in students, in terms of knowledge, skills and attitudes that are transversal to the 1st cycle curriculum; (iii) the importance of student participation, actively involving them in the construction of their learning, using investigative practices; and, finally, (iv) the role of action research as a training methodology for a teacher who intends to develop processes of critical reflection, with a view to introducing changes in their teaching practices.
