FORMAÇÃO DOCENTE, CIDADANIA E LITERACIA DA INFORMAÇÃO NA ESCOLA: UMA DÉCADA DO “RATO DE BIBLIOTECA”
O “Rato de Biblioteca”, criado e dinamizado pela Fundação Vox Populi, através de metodologias ativas, assume-se como catalisador da aquisição de um conjunto vasto de competências, nomeadamente de cidadania e de literacia da informação, sendo suportado por pesquisa ancorada num projeto de investigação. Com início em 2012, celebra no presente ano de 2022, uma década em instituições educativas portuguesas do pré-escolar, 1.º, 2.º e 3.º ciclos e ensino secundário, com alunos e docentes nas diferentes modalidades de educação e formação. Os projetos, anuais, corporizam-se numa parceria entre a Fundação e as instituições educativas participantes; são orientados por uma formação direcionada para os docentes envolvidos, ao longo de todo um ano letivo, com implicações no trabalho com os alunos e nos próprios trabalhos escolares destes.
Neste texto, para além do enquadramento histórico do programa, considera-se o enquadramento teórico do seu potencial pedagógico, e ainda os dados de implementação relativos à sua primeira década de existência. Assim, em 10 anos, foram concretizados 101 projetos em 65 instituições educativas em Portugal, envolvendo no total 8.928 alunos dos vários níveis de ensino. Quanto à aquisição de competências, num conjunto de 12 e tendo como amostra 1964 alunos, constatou-se um impacte de nível 4 e 5, respetivamente “Elevado” e “Elevadíssimo”, destacando-se as competências relacionadas com Relacionamento Interpessoal (75%), Meio Ambiente (72%) e Valores de Ética e Cidadania (71%). Tais resultados permitem sustentar a mudança positiva pretendida na Educação, através de Saberes em Movimento, Saberes que Movimentam, em particular no âmbito das dinâmicas do “Rato de Biblioteca”.

Abstract:
The “Library Mouse”, created and promoted by the Vox Populi Foundation, is a catalyst for the acquisition of a vast set of skills, namely of citizenship and information literacy, through active methodologies, supported by research anchored in a desk research project. Starting in 2012, it celebrates in the present year of 2022, a decade in Portuguese educational institutions of the pre-school, 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycles and secondary school, with pupils and teachers. The projects are annual and take the form of a partnership between the Foundation and the participating educational institutions; they are guided by training aimed at the teachers involved, throughout an entire school year, impacting on the work with the pupils and on their own school works.
In this text, in addition to the historical framework, the theoretical framework of its pedagogical potential is considered, as well as the implementation data relating to its first decade of existence. Thus, in 10 years, 101 projects were carried out in 65 educational institutions in Portugal, involving a total of 8,928 students at different levels of education. As for the acquisition of skills, in a group of 12 and having a sample of 1964 students, there was an impact of level 4 and 5, respectively "High" and "Extremely High", with emphasis on skills related to the Interpersonal Relationship (75%), the Environment (72%) and the Values of Ethics and Citizenship (71%). Such results make it possible to sustain the positive change intended in Education, through Knowledge in Movement, Knowledge that Moves, particularly in the context of the dynamics of the “Library Mouse”.
