EXEDRASEN: O TEATRO DA RESPONSABILIDADE. ANTROPOLOGIA DA CENA, GUARDIÕES DO TEMPO E PEDAGOGIA DA MEMÓRIA NA VELHICE
Este capítulo apresenta o projeto ExeDraSen (Expressão Dramática com Pessoas Idosas) como uma proposta de intervenção e investigação baseada na prática que articula teatro, memória, envelhecimento ativo e responsabilidade social. A partir do laboratório de expressão dramática “Os Putos”, desenvolvido na Escola Superior de Educação da Universidade Politécnica de Coimbra entre 2016 e 2020, analisa-se o papel do teatro sênior como espaço de construção identitária, transmissão intergeracional e salvaguarda da memória coletiva. O estudo fundamenta-se em uma perspectiva teórico-hermenêutica que integra os conceitos de katéchon, natalidade, corpo vivido (Leib), memória narrativa e responsabilidade pelo mundo. Metodologicamente, a investigação combina Aprendizagem-Serviço (ApS) e Investigação e Desenvolvimento Baseado na Prática (I+D+BP), utilizando o Caderno de Investigação-Reflexão como instrumento de auto-observação e análise das experiências dos participantes. Os resultados evidenciam que a prática teatral favorece dimensões cognitivas, corporais, socioafetivas, hermenêuticas, cidadãs e éticas, promovendo a ressignificação de experiências pessoais, o fortalecimento dos vínculos comunitários e uma participação ativa das pessoas idosas na sociedade. O ExeDraSen demonstra, assim, o potencial do teatro como dispositivo pedagógico, biográfico e político para a construção de um envelhecimento participativo e significativo.

Abstract:
This chapter presents the ExeDraSen project (Dramatic Expression with Older Adults) as a practice-based research and intervention proposal that articulates theatre, memory, active ageing, and social responsibility. Based on the dramatic expression laboratory “Os Putos”, developed at the School of Education of the Polytechnic University of Coimbra between 2016 and 2020, the study analyzes the role of senior theatre as a space for identity construction, intergenerational transmission, and the preservation of collective memory. The research adopts a theoretical-hermeneutic perspective integrating the concepts of katéchon, natality, lived body (Leib), narrative memory, and responsibility for the world. Methodologically, the project combines Service-Learning (ApS) and PracticeBased Research and Development (PBR&D), using the Research-Reflection Notebook as a self-observation instrument and as a basis for analyzing participants’ experiences. The results show that theatrical practice contributes to cognitive, bodily, socio-affective, hermeneutic, civic, and ethical dimensions, promoting the reinterpretation of personal experiences, the strengthening of community bonds, and the active participation of older adults in society. ExeDraSen therefore demonstrates the potential of theatre as a pedagogical, biographical, and political device for the construction of meaningful and participatory ageing.
