ESCRITA DIGITAL: UM ESTUDO SOBRE O FENÔMENO DA TRANSTEXTUALIDADE NO CIBERESPAÇO
O ciberespaço resulta de inovações tecnológicas cujas aplicações envolvem diretamente a linguagem. A escrita digital transforma as técnicas de produção e reprodução de textos bem como os mecanismos de recepção e atribuição de sentidos. Nosso objetivo é apresentar alguns resultados de nossos estudos acerca do fenômeno da transtextualidade em ambiente virtual. Com metodologia de investigação descritivo-qualitativa, a pesquisa é exploratória e fundamenta-se em bases teóricas delineadas por Auroux, Genette e Landow. Dentre as manifestações transtextuais descritas por Genette – intertextualidade, paratextualidade, metatextualidade, arquitextualidade e hipertextualidade – a que mais se destaca é a última. Há, entretanto, uma distinção entre a abordagem genettiana e o conceito eletrônico de hipertexto, ligada justamente às peculiaridades do espaço virtual. Enquanto a primeira presume relação hierárquica entre os elementos, o segundo se constrói pela articulação dialógica sem que se estabeleça hierarquia e barreiras limítrofes entre os textos.

Abstract:
Cyberspace results from technological innovations whose applications directly involve language. Digital writing transforms the techniques of production and reproduction of texts as well as the mechanisms of reception and attribution of meanings. Our objective is to present some results of our studies about the phenomenon of transtextuality in a virtual environment. With a descriptive-qualitative methodology, the research is exploratory and is based on theoretical backgrounds outlined by Auroux, Genette and Landow. Among the transtextual manifestations described by Genette – intertextuality, paratextuality, metatextuality, architextuality and hypertextuality – the last one stands out the most. There is, however, a distinction between the Genettian approach and the electronic concept of hypertext, linked precisely to the peculiarities of the virtual space. While the first assumes a hierarchical relationship between the elements, the second is built through dialogic articulation without establishing hierarchy and borderline barriers between the texts.
