Esta investigación relata el desarrollo novedoso del teatro en Chile durante los años sesenta, que se comprometió con la educación de los sectores populares en Chile. Es una generación de jóvenes estudiantes, trabajadores y dirigentes políticos que a través de un convenio de extensión cultural firmado entre la central única de trabajadores y el instituto de la Universidad de Chile y más adelante con la Universidad Técnica del Estado, que  financió obras teatrales de carácter permanente y que fueron estrenadas en sindicatos y poblaciones de la zona sur de Santiago, con temáticas de denuncia y contenido social, uniéndose a esta década altamente convulsionada en lo social y que hicieron realidad en nuestro país que   se instalara la Vía chilena al Socialismo

  • Abstract:

    This research deals with Chilean Theatre novel development during the 1960’s and 1970’s, where Chilean practice committed to the education of popular sectors in the country. Through an agreement of Cultural Outreach signed by the Workers Union and the Theatre Institute of University of Chile - later Technical University of the State -, a generation of young students, workers and political leaders produced a permanent repertory of works of theatre. The agreement funded the productions and they were premiered in trade unions and local communities in the south side of Santiago. The plays depicted social criticism and joined a decade marked by heavy turmoil in the public sphere, which made possible The Chilean Way to Socialism.
