ECONOMÍA Y GEOPOLÍTICA: LA RELACIÓN ENTRE CHINA Y ASIA CENTRAL
En el siguiente artículo, se puede observar que China tiene los siguientes objetivos en Asia Central: salvaguardar su seguridad económica y militar en la zona; avanzar con la protección de oleoductos y gasoductos por posibles ataques terroristas o separatistas para garantizar el abastecimiento de petróleo y gas; vigilar y controlar mejor su frontera occidental; asegurar un mercado para sus productos manufacturados y para las inversiones en infraestructura; penetrar en la zona para evitar la injerencia de Estados Unidos y de la Unión Europea; mostrar que ejerce un poder “blando” (soft power) en el escenario internacional en contraposición con los estadounidenses. Asimismo, al ser un espacio estratégico natural para la conexión con Europa, la posibilidad de inestabilidad política por los separatismos, el terrorismo, el tráfico de drogas, el crimen organizado y la piratería, hacen de Asia Central una zona de alto valor geoestratégico ante Estados Unidos, India y Rusia, aunque éste último sea aliado de China en el grupo BRICS (Brasil, Rusia, India, China, Sudáfrica), pero que a veces se comporta como un competidor en una zona que tradicionalmente ha tenido la presencia rusa, especialmente en la época de la Unión de las Repúblicas Socialistas Soviéticas.

Abstract:
In the following article, it can be seen that China has the following objectives in Central Asia: to safeguard its economic and military security in the area; advance with the protection of oil and gas pipelines from possible terrorist or separatist attacks to guarantee the supply of oil and gas; better monitor and control its western border; ensure a market for its manufactured products and for investments in infrastructure; enter the area to avoid interference from the United States and the European Union; show that it exercises a "soft" power (soft power) on the international stage as opposed to the Americans. Also, being a natural strategic space for connection with Europe, the possibility of political instability due to separatism, terrorism, drug trafficking, organized crime and piracy, make Central Asia an area of high geostrategic value to the United States. United States, India and Russia, although the latter is an ally of China in the BRICS group (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa), but sometimes behaves as a competitor in an area that has traditionally had a Russian presence, especially at the time of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
