DESVIACIONES COGNITIVAS EN EL RAZONAMIENTO CLÍNICO DE LOS ESTUDIANTES DE ODONTOLOGÍA
La calidad y el éxito de un tratamiento odontológico para solucionar la problemática que presentan los pacientes que solicitan el servicio médico- odontológico depende esencialmente del proceso mental que realiza el estudiante o el egresado para llegar a un razonamiento clínico correcto que lo lleve a desentrañar el problema de la salud-enfermedad y así poder llegar a un diagnóstico correcto y a un plan de tratamiento eficiente y eficaz basado en los conocimientos, saberes, ética y conciencia académica, profesional y social que tenga; de otra forma, si se presentan sesgos o desviaciones cognitivas (Efecto Dunning-Kruger) lo más probable es que el diagnóstico sea equivocado y por consiguiente el tratamiento propuesto fracase.

Abstract:
The quality and success of dental treatment to solve the problems presented by patients requesting medical-dental services depends essentially on the mental process carried out by the student or graduate to arrive at a correct clinical reasoning that leads them to unravel the health-disease problem and thus be able to arrive at a correct diagnosis and an efficient and effective treatment plan based on their knowledge, knowledge, ethics, and academic, professional, and social awareness. Otherwise, if cognitive biases or deviations (Dunning-Kruger effect) are present, the diagnosis is likely to be wrong and, consequently, the proposed treatment will fail.
