BIOECOLOGY AND INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT OF ALIEN INVASIVE PEACH FRUIT FLY Bactrocera zonata SAUNDERS (DITPTERA: TEPHRITIDAE) IN SUDAN
Study of Bioecology and Integrated Management of Alien Invasive Peach Fruit Fly Bactrocera zonata Saunders (Ditptera: Tephritidae was conducted in Sudan during the period (2016-2018). The findings determined its spatiotemporal distribution, biology, host range, parasitoids, food attractants for mass trapping. In the study, the potency of B. zonata to compete and displace B. doralis in guava ecosystem was confirmed and the phenomenon of hybridization between the two species was demonstrated for the first time.
