A DESINFORMAÇÃO NA HISTÓRIA: AS FAKE NEWS NO CASO DREYFUS E NA ERA DIGITAL
O artigo aborda como as fake news foram usadas no século XIX na França durante o Caso Dreyfus e o modo pelo qual este tipo de informação forjada manifesta-se hoje nas redes sociais. Para chegar a tal objetivo, faz-se um apanhado histórico do Caso Dreyfus, episódio envolvendo o exército francês que dividiu o país e ganhou repercussão internacional, evidenciando o envolvimento da imprensa e o percurso da notícia a partir da fonte até a divulgação nos jornais. Para o entendimento da natureza das fake news na atualidade, utiliza-se do conceito de pós-verdade e de uma classificação de diferentes tipos de notícias falsas. Conclui-se que a disseminação das fake news na era digital é ampliada pela possibilidade de compartilhamento, viralização e fácil manipulação.

Abstract:
In this article I discuss how the fake news were used in the 19th century in France during the Dreyfus Affair and the way in which this type of forged information manifests itself today on social networks. To achieve this goal, I give a historical overview of the Dreyfus Affair, an episode involving the French army that divided the country and had international repercussions, evidencing the involvement of the press and the route of the news from the source to dissemination in the newspapers. To understand the nature of fake news today, I use the concept of post-truth and a classification of the different types of fake news. I conclude that the spread of fake news in the digital age is amplified by the possibility of sharing, viralization and easy manipulation.
